Overview

This Payment Policy outlines how deposits, payments, withdrawals, and seller payouts are processed on the Munyayi platform.
By using Munyayi, you agree to this policy and all related Terms of Service.

Munyayi operates a secure in-platform wallet system that stores your funds, handles escrow transactions, and allows direct payouts to your preferred payment method.

All transactions within the platform—offers, bids, escrow releases, fees—are processed through this wallet.

2.2 Wallet Security

Funds stored in your wallet are secured using industry-grade encryption and monitored for fraud and abuse.
We do not store full credit card details; payments are handled through trusted third-party processors.

4. Buying With Your Wallet

4.1 Using Wallet Balance

You may use your wallet balance to:

  • Buy businesses

  • Place bids

  • Pay listing or promotional fees

  • Settle escrow fees

If your wallet balance is insufficient, you must deposit additional funds before completing the transaction.

4.2 Escrow Payments

When you buy a business:

  • The amount is deducted from your wallet

  • Funds are held securely in escrow

  • Seller only receives payment after the handover is confirmed

This protects both buyer and seller from fraud.

5. Receiving Payments From Sales

5.1 Sale Proceeds

When you successfully sell a business:

  • The final sale amount (minus any fees) is credited to your wallet instantly after escrow completion.

5.2 Escrow Release to Seller

Funds are released to your wallet only after:

  • Buyer confirms successful asset transfer, OR

  • Munyayi completes verification in case of buyer unresponsiveness

5.3 Suspicious Transactions

If a sale appears fraudulent or violates platform rules, Munyayi may:

  • Hold the funds for investigation

  • Reverse the transaction

  • Terminate the involved accounts
